WHAKATANE PAPER MILLS

CONSTRUCTION WORK COMPLETED PRODUCTION TO BE STARTED IN * FEBRUARY (Feb United Pkebs association) AUCKLAND, Jan. 9. Over 50 delegates, representing New Zealand and Australian shareholders in Whakatane Paper Mills, Ltd., held a three days’ conference at the mills. At the conclusion on Saturday Mr H. A. Horrocks, managing director, announced that construction of the works was practically completed, and the plant would go into production at the middle of next month. The delegates passed a vote of confidence in the directors, and expressed appreciation of the works. It was decided to take measures to ensure that the. greater part of the company’s recent £150,000 issue of debenture stock is held by the company’s shareholders.
