DANCING IN TOWN HALL

" THE LAMBETH WALK " POPULARITY OF LEARNERS' SESSION Between 7 and 8 o'clock at the Main Town Hall on Saturday night there was a large crowd of dancers who too* advantage of the learners' session, which was devoted to the popular new dance, "The Lambeth Walk." Miss Betty Anderson and Mr Jack Robinson were the instructors, and the majority of the learners made excellent progress. The general dance was well attended, and an enjoyable programme of music was supplied by Mr Alex Swann's orchestra. Recorded music was also played at intervals while members of the band were enjoying a respite In this way patrons were afforded continuous dancing. Mr James MacFarlane combined the duties of M.C. with Mr J. Brown, the manager of the dance.
