(Received Nov. 5, at 1 a.m.) There has been no major development in the truck mystery. The police are satisfied that Dempsey was murdered by a gang of wool thieves who apparently have a " receiver " somewhere in the city, as the wool on Dempsey's truck" could not be disposed of under its original brands or in its original bales. Altogether 25 bales were stolen. Thefts of wool from transport trucks plying between the country and the city have been rather frequent lately. The procedure usually is to steal the wool while the trucks are slowly ascending steep gradients, the bandits in the darkness mounting the trucks and tossing the bales off.
