CHARTERIS BAY’S WIN AN OBJECTION LODGED (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 21. An objection to the first prize in the Mangere Handicap at the Auckland trotting meeting on Saturday being paid to the winner, Charteris Bay, has been lodged by Mr A. E. Commons, stipendiary steward, on the grounds that the horse was wrongly handicapped in being on the 3.40 mark. The Judicial Committee of the Auckland Trotting Club has referred the matter to the New Zealand Trotting Association.
