CHARITY BALL

OBJECTS OF FUNCTION There are only 10 more days until the Charity Ball takes place. The proceeds will be devoted to the laudable objects of assisting the Crippled Children Society and the St. Vincent De Paul Orphanages. These appeals are worthy of support and are those which represent the ideal set by the original promoters of the Charity Ball—practical assistance to deserving charities. Even at this date nearly all the preparations for the event have practically been completed, so thaintending patrons should be assured that no stone has been left unturned to provide them with enjoyment One example is that of the energetic committee of women, who have undertaken the provision of the supper for which a generous and delectable menu has been arranged. There has already been a heavy demand for tickets, and with the limitation of the number it is advisable for intending patrons to make early application to the D.I.C. booking office.
