PUBLIC NOTICE *IS' HEREBY GIVEN that the Dunedin City Council at a Special Meeting convened for the purpose and held on Monday, the 10th day of May,' 1937, passed the undermentioned resolution to operate as a Special Order, making and.levying a Special Water Rate of On« Penny in the Pound. The resolution is as follows: — '.. ; THAT the Council of the City', of Dunedin hereby resolves, pursuant to the provisions of Section-51 of "The Rating Act, 1925," so that this resolution may be confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the Council and operate as a Special Order, as follows: — THAT, in respect of the annualrecurring Special Rate of Three Pence (3d) in the Pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of .the City. of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin, made and levied Eursuant to the provisions of "The ocal Bodies Loans Act, 1926" by resolution of the said Council passed on the 30th day- of August, 1933, for the purpose '<■ of providing the interest and other, charges on a loan of £IBO,OOO authorised to be raised for the purpose of augmenting the city water supply by bringing in the waters of, Deep Creek, it be and is hereby resolved that a Special Rate of One Penny .(Id) in the. Pound (£), being portion of the aforesaid Special Rate of Three Pence (3d) in the Pound (£), be made and levied for the year commencing on the , Ist day. of April, 1937, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1938, such Special Rate of One" Penny (Id) in the Pound (£) to be payable in one sum on the 7th day of June, 1937. to ROBERT AUGUSTUS JOHNSTON,'the Town Clerk, or to such other officer as the Council may from time to time, or- at any time, appoint, to collect and receive the same: Further, that the Valuation Roll and the Rate ' Book shall be open for inspection by the ratepayers at the i Town Hall Buildings daily, Saturdays excepted, between the hours of 8:30 o'clock ajn. and 4 o'clock p.m.' AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the said'resolution will be submitted to an Ordinary Meeting of the City Council to be 'held in the Council Chambers,; Town Hall, Dunedin, on Monday, ; the 7th day of June, 1937, at 7.30 o'clock p.m.. for confirmation as a Special Order. ~ '■•.
