PUBLIC NOTICE- IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Dunedin City Council at a Special Meeting convened for the purpose and held on Monday-, the 10th day of May, 1937. Passed the following Resolution —viz.: — That the Council of the City ,of Dunedin • hereby resolves that the proposed By-law, submitted herewith, to be known as "The Dunedin City By-law No. 29, 1937," extending and amending By-law No. 1 of the City of Dunedin, for the purpose of amending the charge for water supply for W.C.'s and fixing a charge for use of water by means of a hose, be and the same is hereby adopted as a by-law, and it is further resolved that this Resolution be submitted to an Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held on Monday, the 7th day of June, 1937, for Confirmation as a Special Order, to which Meeting the said proposed By-law will also be submitted for confirmation., AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the aforesaid Resolution will be submitted to an Ordinary Meeting of the said Council to be held at the Town Hall, Dunedin, on MONDAY, the 7th day of JUNE, 1937, for Confirmation as a Special Order, to which Meeting the said By-lavts will also be submittted for adoption.; A copy of the proposed By-law is deposited at the Town Clerk's Office, Town Hall, Dunedin, and is Open for Public Inspection from the 29th day of May to the 7th day of June inclusive, during ordinary office hours —viz., from Mondays to Fridays, inclusive, between the hours of 8.30 o'clock a.m. and 5 o'clock p.m. R. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Dunedin City Council at'a Special Meeting convened for the purpose, and held on Monday, the 10th day. ot May, 1937, Passed the undermentioned Resolution to operate as a Special Order, authorising the Widening of Portion of Kaikorai Valley road. The Resolution is as follows: That, pursuant to the provisions of Section 193 of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933," the Dunedin City Council hereby Resolves by way of Special Order, that all that parcel of land, being Allotment 5 on Plan of Subdivision of Part of the Upper Kaikorai District deSosited in the Land Registry iffice at Dunedin as No. 4913, and thereon coloured pink, and being part of the land comprised in Certificate of Title Register • Book Volume 153, Folio 50, and containing 5.25 perches, be and the said parcel of land is hereby accepted as and declared to be a portion of the public street known as KAIKORAI VALLEY ROAD, and that, the said street be and is hereby widened accordingly to a width of sixty-six feet. CITY COUNCIL. NOTICE OF v CONFIRMATION OF SPECIAL ORDER AUTHORISING THE RAISING OF A LOAN OF £ 100,000, TO BE KNOWN AS THE "HOUSING LOAN, 1937." .'. PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Dunedin City Council at a Special Meeting convened for the purpose and held on Monday, the 10th day of May, 1937, Passed the Undermentioned Resolution' authorising the Raising of a Special Loan of £IOO,OOO, to be known as the "Housing Loan, 1937." The Resolution is as follows: ;' That, pursuant to the provisions of " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933," and " The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926," the Dunedin City Council hereby Resolves, so that this Resolution may be Confirmed at a subsequent Meeting of the Council and operate as a 1 Special Order, as follows—that is to say:— ■. 1. That the said Council hereby resolves to raise a Special Loan of One Hundred Thousand Pounds (£100,000), to be known as the "Housing Loan, 1937," for the purpose of the acquisition of land and the erection of workers' dwellings and for any other purpose in relation to workers' dwellings as described in part XXVII, of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933." 2. That the term of the said Loan shall be Thirty (30) Years, and the rate of interest on any part of such Loan shall not exceed Three Pounds (£3) per centum per annum. 3. That the said Loan, or any part thereof, shall be repaid by.equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the term determined in paragraph 2 above, and that the payment of such instalments shall be made in New Zealand, and no such instalment shall be paid out of loan money. 4. That the security for the interest and the repayment of the said Loan be a special annually recurring rate of One Penny Farthing (lid) in the Pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the city, comE rising the whole of the .City of lunedin. 5. That the said Loan of £IOO,OOO be raised by the issue of debentures under "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926," and that each such debenture shall be of the same aggregate sum, comprising an instalment of principal and interest sufflcient to repay the whole loan with interest thereon at a rate not exceeding Three Per Centum per cent.) per annum upon the expiration of the Loan period of 30 years. 6. That the said debentures shall be payable at any branch of the Bank of New Zealand within the Dominion of New Zealand free of exchange to the holder thereof. 7. That the Corporate Seal of the City Council be affixed to all such debentures and that all such debentures be signed by the Mayor and countersigned by the City Treasurer. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that said Resolution will be submitted to an Ordinary Meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Town Hall, Dunedin, on MONDAY, the 7th day of JUNE, 1937, at 7.30 o'clock p.m. for Confirmation as a Special Order.
