MRS FREER'S INTENTIONS REMAINING IN AUCKLAND (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 21. It is reported from Wanganui that a large Wanganui drapery firm has engaged Mrs Freer (late of India) for a temporary position and that she will arrive to-morrow. " It's not true," was Mrs Freer's comment when informed of the telegram stating that she had been engaged by a Wanganui drapery firm. " No. I'm not doing anything about the matter," said Mrs Freer. "I am remaining in Auckland. That's all I care to say," was the reply when asked whether the firm had offered the position, or whether she had made application for it. TRADE PROPOSALS ♦ MR "NASH'S MISSION DISCUSSIONS IN LONDON (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 21. The Prime Minister (Mr M. J. Savage) has received a cablegram from the Minister of Finance (Mr W. Nash) stating that the discussions on New Zealand's trade proposals have been opened with. the Secretary of State for the Dominions (Mr Malcolm Macdonald), the President of the Board of Trade (Mr Walter Runciman), and the Minister of Agriculture (Mr W. S- Morrison). The discussions will be continued next week.
