Among other essential qualifications, the hostess must be competent at shorthand and typing, have a knowledge of nursing, must be between 20 and 25 years of age. of medium stature, a pleasing personality, and last but most important, they must not be more than nine stone and a-half in weight. . The new machine will arrive aoouApril 9, and the hostesses will then be instructed in their duties. This will be the first occasion on which an air hostess has been appointed to a commercial air line in Australia, and it will bring Lie service into line with those in England.
