INCREASED DEVELOPMENT (British Official Wireless) (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) RUGBY, February 14. (Received Feb. 15, at 5.5. p.m.) The ninth annual report of the British Broadcasting Corporation records an increase during 1935 in the number of wireless licenses from 6,780,569 to 7 403,109. Listeners have displayed increased interest in the Empire service, and more than 27,000 letters and other reports —approximately double the number received in 1934 —have provided valuable guidance in developing programmes and the technical aspects of the service.
