to the editor

I would like to ask if you, or any of your readers can beat this? East Christchurch, playing Merivale in a senior match at Lancaster Park in the eighties won by 20 points to four—all potted goals. “ Teddy ” Francis, well remembered by all old-time footballers, potted three goals, and Harold Hassal potted two. For Merivale. if my memory serves me right, Mountfort potted one,—l am, etc., Late East Christchurch. January 25.
