THE WEATHER
The weather yesterday was again overcast and unsettled, with occasional light showers. A light south-west breeze prevailed, and the maximum temperature was 51 degrees. The barometer was steady at 29.30. REPORTS FROM THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, October 25. A fresh north-north-west wind and cloudy, unsettled weather prevailed today, an occasional light shower being experienced. The barometer continues very low and was steady at 29.50 inches all day. WELLINGTON, October 25. The weather to-day was cloudy and squally, with occasional light showers. A strong north-westerly wind prevailed, rising at times to gale force. The maximum temperature was 54 degrees. CHRISTCHURCH, October 25. The weather to-day was overcast, with a light rain late in the afternoon. The maximum temperature was 62.8 degrees. The barometer is rising slowly and now registers 29.37 inches.
