It is believed to have been settled in 1200. The first frog farm m Europe has been established at Meissendorf, Germany. A large area of marshy district has been enclosed by barbed wire fences, and bull frogs are to be reared. The flesh of frogs is esteemed by epicures in America and Japan as well as in France.
