ART UNION FUNDS
“BIG PRIZE LIST” ALLOCATION ANNOUNCED (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 11. The allocation of the funds from art union No. 38, the ‘‘Big Prize List,”'were announced this evening by Sir Alexander Young, Minister of Internal Affairs, who explained that the actual profits amounted to £6450. The difference between the sum. of r>rofits and the aggregate distribution of £6500 was taken from the reserve fund. The allocations to various purposes are as follows: Relief of distress £SOOO Auckland War Memorial Museum 500 Wanganui Men's Shelter, relief of distress 100 Canterbury Centre, New Zealand Red. Cross, relief of distress among ex-servicemen and their dependents 250 Citizens’ Lay Nursery, Wellington 150 Waitangi National Trust Board ;. 500
