DEATH IN HOSPITAL INQUEST OPENED. Raymond A. M'Fadyen, who was admitted to the Hospital on Friday afternoon suffering from injuries thought to have been caused by hi a being kicked by a horse, died in the institution shortly after 1 o’clock on Saturday morning. An inquest was opened on Saturday, Mr 11. W. Bundle, S.M., sitting as coroner, and after evidence of identification had been taken was adjourned sine die.' YOUTH FOUND SHOT (Per United Press Association) MASTERTON, October 14. Paul Richardson, aged 20, was found shot through the .head near his father’s homestead at Eketahuna to-day. The deceased, who returned home ’from Massey College on Saturday, went shooting in the morning, and when lie did not return a search was made and the body was discovered alongside a boundary fence near the house. The rifle had apparently accidentally discharged when the youth was getting through the fence. CRUSHED UNDER TREE (Pee United Press Association) NELSON, October 13. Noel Urban Oliver, aged 26, a son of the late Frederick Oliver, of Auckland, met hi s death at Maggie Creek, near Kawatiri, through an old decayed tree suddenly falling on him while he was working in the vicinity.
