One pumps up, instead of sets up, a pneumatic tent recently displayed in London. In place of the customary centre pole and guy ropes, the shelter has a framework of airtight cloth tubes that may be blown up with an ordinary motor car pump when the camping site is reached. When it is erected, the tent is six feet high and seven feet square. Deflated it fits in a suitcase.
