Scientists of the British Government have established a laboratory for research on skidding. In one of their tests a miniature motor car chassis with one set , of its wheels locked, is catapulted along a model road, while n chart records _ilieextent of its skid. A motor cycle side- . car, with a hinged wheel, is employed in a corresponding test. The wheel is locked while the machine is moving, and an automatic recorder registers what happens. . The experimenters hope to prepare anti-1 skid road surfaces.
