TUG-OF-WAR CONTEST

EXCITING FINALS The tug-of-war contest organised in aid of the Tramway Band Equipment Fund was concluded on Saturday night in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall, when the finals were decided. There was _ a fairly large attendance, and many exciting pulls were witnessed. The; Mosgiel Municipal Band and the Dunedin Highland Pipe Band provided the musical programme, and Miss Audrey Watson contributed an’ elocutionary item. - Following are the results; — • ' ; LADIES’TEAM (47 stone).
