TRIAL OF MR NELSON

NOT BEFORE ASSESSORS:APPLICATION REFUSED. APIA, December 12. (Received Dec. 13, at 10 p.m.) Counsel for Mr Nelson made application to the High Court to-day for a hearing before assessors. The Crown Prosecutor produced affidavits supporting the contention that the case is unsuitable for trial before assessors owing to' the difficulty of political bias on both sides. The application was refused, and the trial is expected to commence on Thursday before . the chief judge.
