COUNT ILYS TOLSTOY (United Press Association.) (By Elr-+-Ic Telegraph—Copyright.) CONNECTICUT, December 12. . Count Ilys, a son of Count Leo Tolstoy, died in hospital to-day. His health was undermined by overwork when filming a version of “ Resurrection (one of his father’s books). ■' SIR EDWARD WALLINGTON LONDON, December 12. The death is announced of Sir Edward 'Wallington. Sir Edward Wallington was private secretary to numerous Australian Governors. Prom 1910 to 1919 fee was private secretary to the Queen, and from 1919 to 1932 treasurer to the Queen. He was knighted in 1916. He was 78 years of age. LADY ALLEN LONDON, September 12. The death Is announced of Lady Allen,' widow of Sir Harry Allen, formerly professor of pathology at Melbourne University.
THE REV. FATHER JAMES HICKSON (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, December 13. The death occurred at Lewisham Hospital yesterday of the Rev. Father James Hickson, S.M., in hie seventy-first year. He had been in failing health for some time. For some years he taught in St. Patrick’s College, Wellington, and later was administrator of the Wellington archdiocese.
