SOUTHLAND BAND CONTEST
Saturday promises to be a gala day in Invercargill, when a brass and pipe band contest will be held on the Invercargill Show Grounds. The Military Quickstep Competition will be held in the afternoon, and the test selections will be judged in the evening. A special excursion train will leave Dunedin at 6.38 a.m., returning from Invercargill at 11.30 p.m.
