Becks met Oturclum on Saturday, in the Maniototo Cricket Association’s competition, the latter side winning by a margin of 70 runs. For Becks, W. Kane (21 not out) and A. M'Donald (12) were the highest scorers, and for Oturehua, J. Wright (65), L. Eckhoff (23), and W. Becker (16) were the principal contributors. Bowling for Oturehua, L. Eckhoff took one wicket for nine runs; 11. Short, four for 24; J. Wright, three for nine, and W. Becker, one for one; and for Becks, Glazier took three wickets for 24 runs; Hunt, two for 25; G. Mee, one for four; Clouston, two for four; R. Mee, one for 27, and W. Kane, one for 10.
