(From Oub Own Correspondent.) TAPANUI, October 30. CRICKET. Playing under the jurisdiction of the Tuapeka Sub-association in the opening round of matches the Tapanui-Edievale match, played at Edievale, had to be abandoned owing to rain. Batting first Tapanui compiled 129 runs, the opening pair, Grace and Kane, making 29 and 21 runs respectively. Duff was the only other batsman to trouble the bowlers, scoring 21 not out. Edie secured seven wickets for 23 runs, and Rush secured the remaining three wickets for 44 runs. had lost three wickets for 79 runs, Rush 41 and Edie 30, both compiling their runs by vigorous cricket, the bowlers being handicapped with i the wet ball.
