HOSTILE TRIBESMEN

THE INDIAN FRONTIER TROOPS AMBUSHED (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) DELHI, September 22. (Received Sept. 22, at 10 p.m.) Indian troops employed in the protection of the new road to Mohmand territory were ambushed by a strong force of hostile tribesmen, believed to be Safiris. Three privates were killed and one wounded. A few hours later a Punjab regiment was attacked near Katsai and one man was killed and one wounded. The enemy's losses are not known. Reconnaissance planes were fired on by Kandahnkis, who, with Safiris, are being arrested for Afghan adventures supposed to be connected with the desire to overthrow Nadir Shah, the Afghan King.
