THE RECENT DIFFERENCES. APPARENTLY ADJUSTED. LONDON, September 22. (Received Sept, 22, at 10.30 p.m.) The News-Chronicle deducts from the cricket itinerary drawn up by the Australian Board of Control that the battle between the two cricket authorities is now ended, and adds: 11 This is so urgently desired by the public that they will not worry overmuch about the terms.” DURATION OF THE TESTS. SYDNEY, September 22. (Received Sept. 22, at 11.30 p.m.) The Board of Control decided that the Australian eleven will sail for England by the Orford, leaving Fremantle on March 26 and arriving in London on April 26. It will return by the Orontes, leaving London on September 29. The team will assemble in Melbourne prior to departure and will play two matches in Tasmania, one in Perth, and one in Ceylon or at Aldershot against an army team. The manager will receive an allowance of £650, the treasurer £6OO, and the players each £6OO in instalments, payable in the currency of the country in which the payments are made. The M.C.C. proposes that the test matches begin at 11.30 a.ro. on the first day and at 11 a.m. on the following days, and cease at 6.30 p.m. each day. The Australian Board, however, desires that the tests begin at 11.30 a.m. each day and has cabled accordingly. The board agrees to the tests being limited to four days, but if the destination of the Ashes is involved the fifth will be played to a finish.
