WORLD CONFERENCE

FULL RESUMPTION UNLIKELY LONDON, September 18. After talking over disarmament with Mr Norman Davis, Mr MacDonald was closeted for f half an hour with Sir Walter Layton and Sir Arthur Salter, apparently with the objeef of gathering the loose ends of the Economic Conference for a discussion of which the League of Nations experts, Mr Loveday and Signor Stoppani, have come specially from Geneva.
