THE BLUE STAR LINE

SERVICE TO AUSTRALIA ONE SHIP PER MONTH. SYDNEY, July 1. Sir Edmund (a director of the line) said that Britons were never afraid of competition. He asked how could the Commonwealth afford to put a barbed-wire fence around her shores restricting the entry; of certain ships whilst her foreign competitors had their ports open to the freest competition, not only for their own nationals, but for British and other lines.”
