ENGLISH EMIGRANT

ATTEMPT TO STOWAWAY FAILED. (Per United Press Association.) GISBORNE, June 30. The Port Victor, ■ which sailed from Auckland on Wednesday for London, put into Tokomaru Bay last night to land a stowaway who gave himself up to the captain after the ship bad been some time at sea. The stowaway was a youth of 19 who came out three years ago under the Church of England migration scheme, and being dissatisfied with his prospects sought a cheap passage Home. He was placed under arrest at lokomaru Bay, and will appear in the court at Gisborne to-morrow.
