BURGLARY AT NELSON
THREE SAFES BLOWN OPEN (Per United Press Association.) NELSON, June 30. Three safes on the premises of Messra Neale and Haddow, grain and seed merchants, were blown open during the night, a sum of between: £6O and £7O being stolen. It is evident that the burglary wa* deliberately planned and carried out by no amateur hands. Bags of meal and seeds and about 50 empty sacks were used to deaden the sound. Entrance waa gained at the back part of the premises. Two casli boxes were removed. One contained trust papers and the other money and a number of documents valuable only to the firm. These were found in the railway yards adjoining, only the money being taken.
