FEILDING FARMERS’ OPPOSITION (Per United Press association.) FEILDING, June 30. The Feilding branch of the Farmers’ Union passed a resolution to-day with regard to the proposed levy of threepence per bale on wool for research purposes. The resolution was as follows: —“ That while agreeing that research work is necessary this branch feels that the Meat Board should be the controlling authority; further, that if the board undertakes the work the levy is not necessary.” The union also adopted a recommendation to the Unemployment Board —“ That relief workers should be employed making concrete fencing posts for sale to farmers.
