HEREFORD CATTLE BREEDERS

ASSOCIATION’S ANNUAL MEETING (Per United Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., June 15. The annual meeting of the Hereford Cattle Breeders’ Association was held today. Several speakers opposed the proposed Bill to make the dehorning of cattle compulsory. It was decided to send a deputation to the Minister of Agriculture and place the views of the association before him.

The following officers were elected: — President. Mr J. M. James; vice-presi-dents. Messrs A. S. Holmes and A. Swift; treasurer. Mr E. E. Short; council— Messrs E. Jefferson, „W. Iv. Morton, W. B. White, H. B. Stuckey, F. E. Humphreys, E. Tynan, and J. Brice.
