PETROUS TILE COMPANY
Four short years ago and the almost household name Terrazzo was for the first time heard in Otago by a few builders. An industry brand new to New Zealand was commented. Advertising and service ebmbined have created demand, and today Petrous Marble Terrazzo is the desire of all home lovers. During the period the makers have supplied sinktops to mention but one line, for over ,1500 New Zealand homes! Placed end to end these tops would extend over four miles! Range surrounds, doorsteps, pantry shelves, shower floors, fireplace slabs —for all of these home lovers hunger. All are made in Dunedin from genuine Marble Chips and Milburn Cement, and colours are available to suit any colour scheme. Measurements offer no difficulty, for the company’s traveller calls on most larger towns, or slabs may be made to sketches sent in. Fixing is easy, but is usually undertaken by the maker in any handy locality. Cose is surprisingly low, for no business can be successfully established in these days if products are not within the public’s reach. Indeed, the owners of older homes increasingly realise that the first cost of Petrous sink-tops is ’ readly recovered should their homes ever be put on the market. Until then they have, since the material is indestructible, the pleasure, thrice daily, of using a genuine laboursaver and a thing of beauty. The Petrous Company can be commended for their Marble Terrazzo and the public advised to consider its claims for use in their present home.
