TWO ON A FREIGHTER CREW. PLACED IN QUARANTINE. BRISBANE, January 13. , Two cases of smallpox occurred on the freighter Victoria City, which is now anchored in Moreton Bay. The whole of the crew has been placed in quarantine. The Chief Medical Officer of the Department of Health (Dr Welch) stated that as Queensland was an unvaccinated community its position in view of a possible occurrence of smallpox was alarming.
