ASHHURST RACING CLUB. THE SWELL ANNEXES THE CUP. (Peis United Press Association.) PALMERSTON N.. January 22. ! The annual meeting of the AshhurstPohaugina Racing Club was held to-day in fine weather. There was a large attendance. The track was in good order. The totalisator handled £10,850, against ' £ 19,027 last year, or a decrease of £8177. Two inquiries were held —one into the handling of Disrank in the Hurdles and the other into the alleged interference with Golden Shadow by Leisure in the Koniako Handicap.
