MANIOTOTO HOSPITAL BOARD

MONTHLY MEETING, The monthly meeting of the committee of the Maniototo Hospital Board was held at Ranfurly last Monday, and was attended by Mr Davis (chairman) and Messrs Morgan and Nicolson and Dr Eudey, medical ■ superintendent. DOCTOR’S REPORT. The doctor reported that there were four males and ten females ir. the hospital at the date of the last return, and five and thirteen respectively had since been admitted, making a total of 12 treated. Seven males and seventeen females had been discharged, leaving two males and six females under treatment. Five babies were born iir the hospital during the month. On Sunday, November 23, the Maniototo Brass Band visited the hospital, and its programme waa much appreciated by the patients and staff. It was resolved that a letter of thanks he sent to the band. The doctor also reported that Mr Sundstrum had very kindly offered to act as honorary surgeon to the hospital on his monthly visits for patients who could not afford to pay. Accounts amounting to £665 17s lid were passed for payment.
