LARGE MILKING SHED ' ' . DESTROYED. . (Peb Untied press association.) ' PAHIATUA, June 16. A large milking shed and its contents, the milking plant, an electric motor, and 40 tons of nay, belonging to Ernest S. Holdaway, of Eallance, were destroyed by fire late bn Saturday night.’ The insurance was £7BO in the State Office. OUTBREAK IN SCHOOL. INCENDIARISM INDICATED. (Pee United Pbehs Association.) • WANGANUI. June 10. Incendiarism is suspected in connection with the fire in, the Wanganui East School last night. The front room of the modern building was badly damaged. The fire seems to have started in two places, and the brigade found trail of paper laid on the floor for* a distance of four feet, and marks on the outer .wall which point to someone -having gained access through the window; : . LARGE RESIDENCE BURNED DC)WN (Pee United Press Association.) NELSON, June 16. ‘ A nine-roomed two 1 storeyed wooden dwelling at Atawhai, owned by Mr C. Royds, of Takaka,’and occupied by Mr H. 1 F. M'Clune, headmaster ot the Nelson Central School, was totally’destroyed by fire last night. • r - : 1 :— — , LOCAL OUTBREAKS. ’ A call was received at 5.3 ,a.m. yesterday to the Jarrah Timber Company’s yards in Devon street, where a stack of timber was slightly damaged. At 1.8 p.m, . the brigade was summoned to ; extinguish a gorse fire in , Roslyn, whilst a conflagration of rubbish near an incinerator at the rear of Messrs J. R' M'Kenzie’s premises hf. George, street, required the attention of the brigade at 4 p.m. Forty-two minutes later a call to Leith street was qnswered, the summons proving -to be a justifiable false alarm; '
