Mr W. O. M'Kellar travelled by yesterday’s express from Dunedin to Christchurch. Mr A. J. Rice left Dunedin yesterday morning on a- business visit to Christchurch and Wellington, Mr P. C. Gray was a through passenger by yesterday’s express for the north on his way to Rotorua. 1 Mr C. M. Benzoni, railways district engineer, left for Invercargill yesterday on departmental business, and will return to Dunedin to-morrow. •> ■Mr A, ’.M'Donald, - who has been on . a visit_ to Dunedin, left yesterday morning on his return to the Wairarapa district. Mr B. R. Sword, railways district traffic manager, who has been attending a departmental conference at Wellington, returned to Dunedin on Saturday night Mr Harris, president of the Otago. Rugby Union, stated at the meeting, of the committee last night, that members would be pleased to learn that W. GM'Clymont, who was injured in the trial match at Carisbrook on June 3, was making favourable progress towards recovery, 1 and would probably be discharged from the Dunedin Hospital on Thursday. Passengers by the through express yesterday morning, en route for Wellington to attend the annual conference of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, included Messrs .F. Waite, M.P. (CluthaJ, A. C, Cameron YDunedin)', C. R. Sheat (Milton), T. R. Eades (Edendale), E. K Sim (Pukemaori), P. Arnott (Seaward Downs), E. Bowmar- (Gore), I. D, Revie (Tapanui), A. Leaiw (Lawrence), E. H. Mumey (Tapanui), M. A. Kinney (Hyde), and Adam Johnston (Waikaka valley).
