THE AORANGI’S PASSENGERS.

TEN TO BE RELEASED TO-DAY. (Feb United Pbess Association.) AUCKLAND, March 2. Six stewards who had been attending to the Aorangi’s quarantined passengers at Motnihi Island were released from duty and came to Auckland on Saturday morning. A further number of stewards and the following 10 passengers will be released from quarantine to-morrow morning:—Mrs Diplock, Miss M. Diplock, Mr A. Diploek, Miss C. J. Creamer Mrs Cummins, Mr R. H. Hartley Mr and Mrs A. Nash, Mr- R. Thorsby’ and Mr Webb. There will then be only six passengers In quarantine at Motnihi. With reference to the cablegram from Sydney that the vaccination in Auckland had not been in accordance with the Australian regulations, Dr Hughes, medical officer of health, says that he is unable to understand this statement. The vaccinations were carried out as in all past cases, and he did not know of any special Australian regulations.
