MANIOTOTO RATEPAYERS.

ASSOCIATION' FORMED. A meeting of Muniototo ratepayers was hold in the A. and P. Hall, Ranfurly. on May .3, for the purpose of forming a ratepayers’ association. Mr T. Dowling occupied the chair. There were present? Messrs J. I. Fraser, J. Lobh, A. Smitii. J. Little, A. Helm, 0, Cambridge, M Kinney, .J. M'Gill, W. C. Davis. A Stringer, I!. Young, J. Nicholson, W. G. Becker, T. Lewis, W. Fisher, W. Mathew son, E. Sim ml, T. Mitchell. On the motion of Mr F. Sham), seconded by .Mr G. Becker, it was, decided .that a ratepayers’ ,association' be formed, with rules as read, to.be named “'The Maniototo Ratepayers’ Association.” It was resolved that the Executive Committee consist of a president and two members from each riding. Davis and A. Stringer; Pukctoi Biding, Messrs 0. Cambridge and B. M’Skimming; Serpentine Riding, Messrs C. Horc and J. Donald; Mount Ida Biding, Messrs A. Smith and C. Indor; Hyde Biding, Messrs J. M’Gill and M. Kinney; Kynburn Riding, Messrs 1 B. Young and W, .Mathewson; St. Bathans Biding, Messrs S. M‘Knight and F. Pyle; Lauder Riding] Messrs T. Mee and J. Beattie. It was resolved that the Executive Committee, shout'd have power to fill any vacancy occurring on the committee.
