The negotiations instituted by the Federal Seamen’s Unions of Australia and New Zealand with a view to forming an alliance with the Federated Seamen s Union of Canada have been ratified by Canadian headquarters. A conference will be held in Vancouver to work out the details, and will be attended by representatives of all the organisations concerned. This possible amalgamation has caused some agitation in Canadian marine affairs, as the union would reinforce Canadians in their fight, for higher wages and better living conditions on Canadian ships in Return for the support of who are prepared to care for the members' of the Antipodean anions stranded here or in hospital.— Australian Press Association.
