Business was brisk on the Stock Exchange yesterday. P. and O. Deferred Stocks changed hands at 60s, buyers closing with an offer of 60s 6d. New Zealand Breweries debentures found a buyer at 25s 6d, quotations closing with sellers asking 25s 9d and buyers offering -25 s , 4d. New Zealand Breweries shares ; were reported to have been dealt in at sS_s and 58s 3d, buyers’ closing offer : being on a level with the former price, while sellers required 9d more. Contri- ; buting New Zealand Refrigeratinga changed hands at 9s sd, the market closing with buying and selling quotations having a margin of Id each way. Commercial Banks were also dealt in at 30s 9d, buyers’ closing offer being 30s 6d, while sellers asked 31s. Sales: P. and O. Deferred Stock, 60s; New Zealand Breweries (debs), 25s 6d; Commercial Bank, 30s 9d (late sale). - • Sales reported: New Zealand Breweries shares, 58s (two), 68s 3d; P. and O.
