THE NEW METHOD. DR P. C. FENWICK’S VIEWS. ' (Peb United Pbess Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, August 29. A cable mesage from London to-daj stated that a new method of treatment of cancer had been revealed at an inquest near Walsall. It was disclosed that a woman who had been suffering from cancer had been given lead treatment following the lines of Dr Blair Bell, Liverpool University. “We have been using a modified form of lead treatment for the past ,two years,” said Dr P. C. Fenwick) superintendent of the radium department, Christchurch Hospital, today. He added that J3r Bell had been using the treatment since 1920. A measured quantity of specially-prepared lead was injected into the veins, the treatment being spread over several months. Dr Fenwick said he had been anxious for some time to go to England to examine the new method. He was not prepared to express a definite opinion on it until examinations had been carried out over a period of five years.
