MOTOR LORRY CAPSIZES. (Peb United Press Association.) ; WAIROA, August 29; Early yesterday morning a lorry Belonging to the proprietor of a picture show, was returning from a performance at Tuai when it smashed into a small bridge about two miles from Frasertown through the lights failing. The lorry turned two complete somersaults, and slid back upside down. Three of the occupants received slight cuts. EXTENSIVE INJURIES. (Per United Press Association.) ; LEVIN, August 29. A serious accident happened on Saturday afternoon to Miss Ethel Gray, aged 19, while on a tramping expedition with the Levin Waiopehu Club. The handrail of a bridge broke, and she fell to the bed of a stream 30ft below, receiving a broken wrist, a fractured pelvis, and severe bruises and shock. She was removed jto the Palmei'ston North Hospital. FOOTBALLED INJURED. „ (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, August 29. When the Taranaki Rugby team was leaving Christchurch for the north on Saturday it was found that A. Petty, the full-back,®was injured. He was taken to Christchurch Hospital, where he was found to be suffering from slight concussion and injuries to Ins leg. The condition of Mr Paterson, the victim of the motor accident in Crawford street early on Sunday morning, was reported by the hospital authorities last evening to be unchanged.
