(Received May 3, at 11.15 p.m.) During the second night out from Wellington the officer on watch on the Marama noticed a light astern. As they had not passed a vessel he called the master, who ordered the steamer to put back. It was then found that the light was attached to a buoy from the Marama. On the following morning it was discovered that three lifebuoys and a large roll of malting had been inalieionlsy thrown ovoiboard from the deck.
