A MALICIOUS ACT
WANTON DESTRUCTION OF PRORERTY. (Press Association P.y Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, May 3. (Received May 3, at 11.15 p.m.) During the second night out from Wellington the officer on watch on the Marama noticed a light astern. As they had not passed a vessel he called the master, who ordered the steamer to put back. It was then found that the light was attached to a buoy from the Marama. On the following morning it was discovered that three lifebuoys and a large roll of malting had been inalieionlsy thrown ovoiboard from the deck.
