PALMERSTON NOTES.
Oub Own Cobbebpondent ) PALMERSTON, April 30. Tho annual meeting of the Palmerston Plunkot Society wag held in the Plunket room on Wednesday, April 27. The secretary read the report and balance sheet for the year, which were approved. The following office-bearers were elected for 1927: President, Mrs T. T. Thomas; vice-presi-dent, Mrs Kenny, senr.; secretary* Mrs Arkle; treasurer, Miss M’Ritchie; cpmmittee—Mesdames Brown, Cowan Chisholm, Kennett, MacLeod, Sutherland, Patterson and Vincent. Tho society has had a very successful year, and Amrse Rogers has done excellent work m the district, her services being greatly appreciated. During the year the society contributed £45 to the Oamaru centre- and also had sufficient funds to make improvements to the Plunket room.
