THOUGHT WAVES

TRANSMISSION THROUGH ETHER. PSYCHICAL SOCIETY’S TEST. (Frets Association— By Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, January 24. (Received Jan. 24, at 10 pjn.) Assisted by Sir Oliver Lodge, the Psychical Research Society has arranged to lock up six scientists on the night of February 16 in such a way that they will be cut off from all communication with the outside world. The scientists will endeavour to get messages out to the world, but they must not utter the messages, only think them. Wireless listeners throughout the world are asked to catch the messages and send the telepathic impressions to the British Broadcasting Corporation. The scientists’ thoughts will be written out beforehand and placed in sealed envelopes, but the scientists will remain locked up until the listeners have time to send the telepathic impression, which will then be compared with the contents of the envelopes.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
