DEPOSIT OF IRON
DISCOVERY IN ITALY. ITS COMMERCIAL IMPORTANCE. (Freea Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.) ROME, January 23. A deposit of iron ore discovered at Tambura Pass, in the Central Appenines, isr declared to contain 68 per cent, of metal, compared with 40 per cent, in other European mines. It is hoped that the daily output will be 300 tons of pure metal, enabling Italy to discard imports. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
