ST. KILDA COUNCIL.

FORTNIGHTLY MEETING.

The fortnightly meeting of the St. Kilda Borough Council was held last night, there being present the Mayor (Mr R. W. Hall) and Crs E. Longworth, J. Beattie, A. D. Edgar, H. H.' Leary, J. Fleming, J. D. M'Curdy, H. B. Pattriek, R. Telfer, and T. D. B. Roy. The Manager of the local broadcasting station (4YA) wrote requesting permission to relay the St. Kilda Band’s Sunday evening concerts from the rotunda.— Agreed to. The water consumption for the fortnight ended September 27 was reported to be 4,756,000 gallons, at a cost of £llß 18s, as against £ll7 12s for the previous two weeks.
