■■■ o The fortnightly meeting of the St. Kilda Borough Council was held last evening, there being present; The Mayor (Mr R. \V. Hall), and Crs J. Beattie, A D. Edgar, E. Longworth, H. H. Leary, J. D. M'Curdy, T. D. Roy, C. J. Sims, R. Teller, and H. B. Patirick. MOTION OF SYMPATHY. A vote of sympathy with the relatives of the late Cr P. Carotin was passed, the members of the council standing in silence for a moment. 1 CORRESPONDENCE. An invitation was received from the secretary of the Ocean Beach Boy Scouts inviting the councillors to be present at the opening of the new Scout Hall in Victoria road on April 17. —Received. GIRL GUIDES’ CONCERT. It was decided that the use ot the Town Hall be granted, free of charge (less lighting charges) to the Girl Guides for the holding of a concert on May 19. WATER CONSUMPTION. The report of the water consumption for tho fortnight ended April 12 showed that 4,701,000 gallons had been consumed at a cost of 1119 0s 6d, as against £llO 15s 6d for the previous two weeks.
