INTERNATIONAL PEACE
INTELLECTUAL CO-OPERA-TION. UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN NATIONS. (Pres* Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.) PARIS, January 17. President. Doumergue and M. Scialoja (at- president- of the Ldiguo Council) have inaugurated an international institute of intellectual co-operation, consisting of the Diplomatic Corps, the League representatives, and many distinguished scientists and litterateurs. M. Painleve is president of the Managing Committee. In the course of a speech he said that the institute was intended to co-ordinate and harmonise the intellectual efforts of nations in a spirit of disinterestedness, characterising the League, thus enabling the nations to comprehend one another better, and gradually to build up an edifice of international peace.—Reuter.
